Rivergate Mall Demolition

EAI is initiated the abatement and demolition of the former Rivergate Mall in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The 1,000,000 + square foot mall has had a few additions over the years with something new being found at every turn. On-going abatement work for fireproofing and floor tile/mastic is being worked closely with select sections of the mall not impacted by asbestos containing materials. Currently EAI has demolished the former Sears, is over 80% complete with the former Macy’s and has begun our push into the 1987 addition parallel to JC Penny’s. The overall demolition will have a strategic approach to the successful completion as EAI will have to work around the JCP (still active until August) as well as the Guitar Center and Dillards which will remain after the mall is demolished. Selective hand demolition around these department/retail stores will be required. EAI is also going to be providing for LEED re-purposing/diversion for the project and will be reporting as the project progresses. The EAI Team is very appreciative for the Merus (Developer & GC) in their selection of EAI to kick-off this unique re-development project in the re-emerging market of Goodlettsville, TN. Both companies have planned a very strategic and aggressive approach for moving the project forward with Civil site activities around the campus and immediately following EAI’s demolition. Continued updates on the progression to follow!
